Almirón (Aptamil) Formula Recall in Spain: How to Get a Danone Refund (2026)
Danone preventively recalled several Almirón infant formulas in Spain in early 2026 (cereulide from a shared ARA oil, AESAN alert ES2026/043). In Spain, Aptamil is sold as Almirón. Danone refunds the price on its recall line, and by law you can also claim through the shop. Here are the exact products, the Danone refund route, and a free tool that drafts the demand for you.
Which Almirón products were recalled
Under AESAN alert ES2026/043 and its amplification, Danone preventively withdrew these formulas in Spain (specific formats and expiry dates):
- Almirón Advance 1 and Advance 2 (bottles and boxes).
- Almirón Profutura 1 and Profutura 2 (bottles and sachets).
- Almirón AR 2 and Blédina 1.
- In Spain, Aptamil is sold as Almirón. Check your tin’s exact expiry on Danone’s page (almiclub.es) — a refund is normally paid with or without it.
How to get your money back from Danone
- Call Danone’s free line 900 181 797 (24 h) or email almiclub@danone.com to open a refund or replacement.
- Or claim from the shop that sold it — the seller is also legally responsible and must refund.
- Put the claim in writing with the product, the amount and your bank details, so the date and amount are fixed if they stall.
- If ignored, escalate with the hoja de reclamaciones and then OMIC / your regional consumer authority.

The Danone recall and your rights are already set — NAVI only needs your name and the amount to draft the refund demand.
Your legal rights
- A recalled, unsafe formula is non-conforming — arts. 114–127 TRLGDCU give you replacement or a full refund, and art. 125 lets you claim directly against Danone.
- If your baby was harmed, that is a separate product-liability claim (arts. 128–149); keep medical records. The deadline is 3 years from when you knew of the damage.
- Refunds in a recall are usually paid with or without the receipt — a photo of the lot and expiry, or a bank/card statement, is enough.
- Danone says the products meet regulations; a preventive recall still makes an affected tin non-conforming, so your refund right stands.
